Job purpose 

The PSR Coordinator is responsible for overseeing psychosocial rehabilitation services provided by the center.   

Qualifications                       

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice and/or other Social Service related field.
  • Meet the minimum requirements to be clinically privileged by FCC Behavioral Health. 

Core Job Duties 

  • Responsible for day-to-day operation of the psychosocial rehabilitation program and clubhouse activities.
  • Provide site orientation and job training to all new employees under direct supervision.
  • Provides supervision to Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Technician's, Peer Specialist and other program staff as assigned.
  • Completes annual job evaluations, with supporting documents and Staff Development Plans, on all staff supervised.
  • Ability to maintain personnel documentation on all positions supervised.
  • Develops and schedule's psychosocial rehabilitation activities which assist person(s)-served in making the necessary personal and social adjustments for independent living.
  • Exhibit a working knowledge of Relias Learning Software and work directly with Clinical Manager and Program Director to ensure course compliance of staff supervised.
  • Ability to maintain clinical privileges on all staff positions supervised.
  • Ability to maintain the inventory of all supplies for treatment activities, cleaning supplies and office supplies and submit purchase requests as necessary.                                                
  • Ability to submit and process all site-specific work orders.
  • Acts as a group facilitator for psychosocial rehabilitation person(s)-served.
  • Ability to establish PSR goals on treatment plans.
  • Responsible for providing person(s)-served ownership through monthly focus groups and person-lead committees.
  • Assist's with bi-annual person(s)-served satisfaction surveys for site.
  • Participates in peer audit reviews with the Supervisory team on-site.
  • Report's staffing recommendations to the Clinical Manager.
  • Assure written reports to appropriate persons and/or agencies are completed in a timely manner, including the provision of such when necessary.
  • Serve on Health and Safety Committee.
  • Ability to keep an organized and up-to-date Health and Safety Binder on site.
  • Progress notes written accurately using the PIRP format and in compliance with the 5-Day Rule (and/or site policy)
  • Ability to ensure overall cleanliness and management of campus facilities.
  • Ability to work with Program Director and Clinical Manager to ensure coordination of site specific training calendar.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with Director with full report of facility issues.
  • Participate in chart audit reviews with Clinical Manager and Director.
  • Ability to write detailed reports that accurately reflect historical information, identified problem areas and recommended solutions.
  • Ability to identify problems, including cause and effect to ensure problems are properly addressed.
  • Proficient understanding of Day Program Licensure rules. Maintain/improve professional competencies through training activities and/or other educational means.
  • Maintain awareness regarding the agency vision and assist staff in continuing motivation and empowerment.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the DSM and familiarity with the diagnostic criteria sets of all substance use and mental disorders.
  • Participates in clinical staffing of person(s)-served to include attendance of meetings and/or written notes regarding person(s)-served cooperation and participation with program expectations.
  • Consistently complies with supervisory directives as it applies to enforcement of facility policies and procedures with person(s)-served.
  • Ability to effectively utilize computer systems currently employed by FCC.
  • Maintain/improve professional competencies through training activities and/or other educational means.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and/or mental disorders.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Listen to others to facilitate an open exchange of ideas and provide for effective communication.
  • Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
  • Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency's certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
  • Maintain confidentiality, at all times, within the legal framework. Will adhere to established guidelines regarding confidentiality as well as the agency's adopted code of ethics.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of person(s)-served as outlined in the agency and site Policies and Procedure Manuals.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance record, respect break periods and work with supervisor to ensure coverage during any absence.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance, attitude and demeanor that reflects confidence, positive self-esteem and overall professionalism when working with person(s)-served, co-workers, families and referral sources.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a "can do" attitude.
